The Strafford Fire Protection District is 100% volunteer,
which means we dont get paid to do this job. We do it because we want to. Every Monday night at 7 p.m we have traning. Traning
is also done on some weekends.
EXPECTATIONS
We do expect you to attend 50% of the meetings
and tranings. And during the year you will be expected to make at least 25% of emergency calls.
SUPPLIED ITEMS
Personal Protective Equipment- a complete
set of protective firefighting gear including coat, pants, boots, helmet, gloves and Nomex hood.
Radio- you will be assigned a tone-activated radio through
which you will recieve your emergency dispatches.
Community Involvement- if you feel that you want to become
involved in your commuity, what better way is there to do it, than to join your fire department?
Education- All formal required traning will be provided
by the department or fire schools in the area.
WORK SCHEDULE
Very Flexable- whenever your available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
365 days a year!
