December 6, is a night we all finally get to have a little fun and just relaxe, spend time with each
othere and our familys and eat a lot of food. This is our christmas party. We eat dinner and then recevied award from the
past year. The past year we ran over 600 calls and over 4,000 hours of traning This year Chief Jerry Schiman recived
the most calls ran, Mary Schiman recived most traning hours, Fred Osbourn was chosen as Rescuer of the Year, Tony Warnke was
given the award of Rookie of the Year. And Chandra Lowery was named Firefighter of the Year. along with these everyone recived
the own awards for calls ran and hours of traning and also year servied on the department. Chief Jerry Schiman was given a
special gift from his firefighter, Capt. Larry Lay recived a plaque for 18 years of service. the night ended with a slid show
of pictures from the past year, and with Chief Jerry Schiman saying a prayer and a few words " We've had a very good and very
successful year. I'm most thankful that no one got hurt. I often say that a good call is when everyone comes home and we can
at least tow the trucks home."
